The reason I like this book is because it's not sad, and it's very exciting. If it was sad, then I wouldn't want to read on because I personally don't like sad stories.

The book Free Baseball by Sue Corbett is a book about a boy named Felix Piloto. He was born in Cuba with his mom and dad. He and his mom make it over to America on a boat but there was no room on the boat for the famous baseball star Claudio De laportilla(his father). Will he and his father ever meet again? Read this book to find out!

In the book Free Baseball a boy named Felix wins tickets to the Egrets vs. Miricals baseball game off the radio. At the end of the game felix sneaks into the Miricals dug out and they mistake him for their new bat boy! Felix travels game, to game all over the country without telling his mom the truth! (she thinks he slept over his friend's house) Oh yea, and his dad is a famous cuban baseball player! Will Felix give up base ball for his mom? or give up the fact that he will never see his dad? Find out in Free Baseball!

I recamend Free Baseball, Sue Corrbett.

This is my favorite book. All those baseball fans out there you should read this book. Because free baseball is about a boy that has a dream to be a baseball player. That his mom is always at work. And the kid gets these tickets to a baseball game and runs aways. Find out more by reading the book. AUSTIN GRADE 5 GREENBUSH

Do you enjoy baseball? Well if you do I'll encourage you to read this book. Its about a kid that has a profesional baseball player as a fatherin Cuba. His father will never visit America because of his brother he will be punished . Felix loses hope over the years thinking his dad will come. But felix finds a friend along the way, and he might be able to tell Felix about his father!

One part I liked about the book is the relationship Fleix had with his mom because it seemed realistic. For example, when Fleix got lost his mother was all worried about her son and where he went. Something I didn’t like about the book was that it didn’t have a strong story line because it jumped around a lot. For instance, in one paragraph he was in the club house but in the next paragraph he was in his house. I was confused.

I thought Free Baseball was a good book to read. I learned many Spanish words and phrases. Same with the baseball terms. My brothers play baseball. Now I'll finally pay attention. I used to think it was boring. Now I think it's very interesting.

I can relate to this book because my Mom and Dad are not together and a lot of people are not, and if you like baseball you will like this book. My favorite part was when he said "I have a date with the radio".
